На 15 септември 2020 г., Основно училище „Христо Ботев“ с. Късак отвори врати за новата учебна 2020/2021 г. Учебната година стартира с 64 ученици, разпределени в 4 паралелки от I до VII клас. Всички ученици са обхванати в целодневно обучение, обособени в три групи, от които две в I- IV клас и една група в V-VII клас.
Въпреки предизвикателствата, обусловени от продължаващата епидемична обстановка, институцията е амбицирана да докаже своето ниво, стъпвайки на традициите и на иновативните методи на обучение. Училищната среда е приведена в пълна готовност, съгласно нормативните изисквания на Министерство на здравеопазването и Министерство на образованието и науката, а методологията на обучение в електронна среда от разстояние ще бъде приложена при необходимост.
Директорът на училището г- жа Узунова, поздрави присъстващите на тържеството, като обяви старта на една доста необичайна и динамична учебна година, която ще премине под знака на пандемията от коронавирус. Цялото общество ще трябва да положи усилия в търсенето на баланс между спазването на противоепидемичните мерки с цел опазване здравето на всички в училище и качеството на учебния процес. Обърна се с призив към децата, учителите и родителите да се съобразяват с предписаните ограничения, въпреки неудобството, което те причиняват, но това е начинът да запазим собственото си здраве и това на нашите близки.
